 Get Your Free Wellness Physicals + More

Medicare offers a free “Welcome to Medicare” Wellness visit in the first 12 months plus one yearly wellness visit going forward. Note: certain tests ordered during these visits may incur a co-pay.

Take advantage of benefits like smoking cessation sessions and cardio vascular risk management counseling.

Schedule Your Free Preventative Care

Medicare covers a host of preventative screenings such as flu shots, mammograms, and cardiovascular screenings. These are highlighted in the annual Guide to Your Medicare Benefits with an apple icon as shown above .

Note: if you have opted for a private insurance company Medicare Advantage HMO/PPO type plan, the same benefits are offered. You must work through your primary care physician to order these services so that they are covered under the terms of your plan.

 Know What’s Not Covered

Generally, Original Medicare does not cover routine vision exams, hearing aids, or dental care. Also not covered is more than 100 days of long-term care like nursing home stays.
